Report >> 2. Number and Nature of Complaints

In the 30 day period following the concert, 14th July – 13th August, MCD received a total of 1,364 complaints including letters sent to the National Consumer Agency and the Consumer Association of Ireland.

The majority - 761 were complaints about seating and these almost entirely broke down into three areas:

- claims that seating did not exist,

- people were sitting in their seats,

- did not get the seats they paid for.

The remaining complaints, i.e. those who didn’t specifically state seating, include 127 who complained about car parking and more specifically:

- ground conditions,

- trying to locate cars post concert,

- lack of stewards and stewarding post concert.

220 complained about traffic and specifically the long delays on the approach roads to the site.
